It's official - WE ARE A HEALTHY SCHOOL! We have
achieved the National Healthy Schools Status and we were awarded our Plaque and Golden Apple at a celebration event at Bexley Civic Offices last week. Representatives from schools across the Borough attended the celebration with invited guests including the Mayor of Bexley, Cllr Nigel Betts. Bexley Borough is the only Borough in the country to achieve '100% Healthy Schools!'
The Healthy Schools programme is based on a whole school approach to physical and emotional well-being focused on four core themes: personal, social and health education, healthy eating, physical activity and emotional health and well-being. The School Council has taken on the responsibility for maintaining our efforts and will continue to develop work in this area.
Well done to everyone and keep up the good work!
